Carl Young, also known as "Moses," 52, and Anthony Risi, 48, both of Bridgeport, were busted around 5 p.m. Tuesday after officers with the Narcotics and Organized Crime Unit were tipped off to the sale, said Stamford Police Capt. Richard Conklin.

According to Conklin, the squad had received info that Moses would be making the sale in a black Hyundai at the rest stop on I-95 in Darien.

When the black Hyundai drove into the rest stop, officers could see what appeared to be Moses in the passenger seat, with Risi driving. As officers approached the vehicle they saw Moses bunch up a blue washcloth and toss it toward the center console, he added.

When officers searched the vehicle, they found 50 envelopes of unstamped heroin inside the washcloth, Conklin said.

Both men were detained without incident.

Young was charged with possession of narcotics, possession of narcotics with intent to sell, conspiracy/possession of narcotics, and conspiracy with intent to sell. He is being held on $25,000 bond. Young is scheduled to appear in court on July 9.

Risi was charged with conspiracy/possession of narcotics and conspiracy with intent to sell. He was released with a court date of July 9.
